Frankfurt, Germany, October 15, 2025
PublisHer has returned to Europe with the PublisHer Lounge at the 2025 Frankfurt Book Fair. Its strongest programme yet includes multiple panels, workshops, mentorship and networking events at the PublisHer Lounge (Hall 4.1, Stand C28).
‘PublisHer continues to mature and grow into an international change movement,’ said Bodour Al Qasimi, PublisHer’s Founder. ‘We’ve evolved from creating spaces of belonging and connection to building structures of opportunity. I’m very grateful to Juergen Boos and the Frankfurt Book Fairm team for the opportunity to reach and support even more women from around the world.’
In partnership with the Frankfurt Book Fair, PublisHer has programmed daily sessions highlighting the achievements and perspectives of women shaping the world’s publishing industry. More than 30 expert speakers from six continents will address themes ranging from women in executive roles and diversity in children’s publishing to professional development and sustainability in book production.
On the Fair’s opening day, the international movement empowering women in publishing proudly presented a timely PublisHer Panels discussion among leading women from international publishing on the prestigious Center Stage. Entitled “The Invisible Women of Publishing”, the session was moderated by Emma House (Oreham Group) and featured Elena Pasoli (Bologna Children’s Book Fair, BolognaFiere Group), Tracey Armstrong (Copyright Clearance Center), Mitia Osman (Mayurpankhi), and Suzanne Collier (Bookcareers.com).
In addition, PublisHer’s Meet a Mentor sessions have been an ongoing highlight allowing early and mid-career professionals to book one-on-one meetings with leading women in publishing from Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas, to receive guidance, support and encouragement.
The Fair has also provided a platform for the launch of the next cycle of the PublisHer Excellence Awards, honouring women who make exceptional contributions to publishing through leadership, innovation or advocacy.
Since its founding in 2019, PublisHer has built a global network of women leaders in publishing and creative industries. The PublisHer Lounge concept has become a go-to meeting point at major fairs, including Bologna and Sharjah, serving as platforms for mentorship, inspiration and practical support.
The PublisHer Lounge at Frankfurt Book Fair 2025 will run from 15-19 October in Hall 4.1, Stand C28.
