My name is Mania Swed, and I was born in Damascus on October 7, 1969.

I am a citizen of the Commonwealth of Dominica, and my passport number is RA107550.

My family and I hold the Golden Visa in the United Arab Emirates.

I am married and have two sons, both of whom are doctors working in England:

Dr. Baraa Saad, a cardiologist, and Dr. Jad Saad, a dentist.

I have lived in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, with my husband since September 1998.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Damascus University, a Master of Arts degree in Media and Journalism from Carolina University, and a PhD in Journalism and Media from the American University in London.

I have worked for the Sharjah government as a journalist and editor since October 1, 1999.

I am the founder and owner of Metaverse Publishing, Printing, and Distribution.

In addition, I work as a part-time university lecturer at several universities in the UAE, where I have taught media, journalistic ethics, political science protocols, and related topics since 2015.

I have participated in numerous local, regional, and international media conferences and have actively contributed to various cultural events in the Arab world. I have authored 25 books in the fields of media, creative writing, academic research, and children’s literature, including:
